Rani Laxmi Bai (19 November 1828 – 17 June 1858)   

Lakshmibai was born probably on 19 November 1828in the holy town of Varanasi into a Brahmin Maratha family. She was named Manikarnika and was nicknamed Manu. Her father was Moropant Tambe and her mother Bhagirathi Sapre (Bhagirathi Bai). Her parents came from Maharashtra. Her mother died when she was four. Her father worked for a court Peshwa of Bithoor district who brought Manikarnika up like his own daughterThe Peshwa called her "Chhabili", which means "playful". She was educated at home and was more independent in her childhood than others of her age; her studies included archery, horsemanship, and self-defence.Manikarnika was married to the Maharaja of Jhansi, Raja Gangadhar Rao, in 1842, and was afterwards called Lakshmibai (or Laxmibai).She gave birth to a boy, later named Damodar Rao, in 1851, who died when four months old. The Maharaja adopted a child called Anand Rao, the son of Gangadhar Rao's cousin, who was renamed Damodar Rao, on the day before the Maharaja died. 

  • Rani Durgavati(October 5, 1524 – June 24, 1564)


Rani Durgavati maravi  was born in the family of famous Rajput Chandel Emperor Keerat Rai. She was born at the fort of Kalanjar (BandaUttar Pradesh, India). Chandel Dynasty is famous in the Indian history for the defense of kingVidyadhar who repulsed the attacks of Mahmud Ghaznavi. Her love for sculptures is shown in the world famed temples of Khajuraho and Kalanjar fort. Rani Durgavati maravi's achievements further enhanced the glory of her ancestral tradition of courage and patronage of arts.

  • Chandra Shekhar 'Azad'

Chandra Shekhar Azad was born on 23 July 1906 in Bhavra village, in the present-day Alirajpur district of Madhya Pradesh. He was then called Chandra Shekar Tiwari. His forefathers were from the Badarka village near Kanpur (in present-day Unnao District. His mother, Jagrani Devi, was the third wife of Sitaram Tiwari, whose previous wives had died young. After the birth of their first son, Sukhdev, in Badarka, the family moved to Alirajpur State. He spended his lot of time in jhansi so we can include them in Bundelkhand .


  • Major Dhyan Chand ( 29 August 1905 – 3 December 1979)

     Major Dhyan Chand(1905-1979) - The great legend of field hockey is also known as the "Hockey Wizard". Once they broke his stick in Holland to check if there was a magnet inside; in Japan they decided it was glue. Dhyan Chand realised India’s Olympic dream singlehandedly when he brought home the first ever gold medal in 1928 Amsterdam Olympics. The second gold was earned in 1932 Los Angeles Olympics and the third in 1936 Berlin Olympics where the wizard of hockey scored seven consecutive goals. In 1932 India scored 338 goals in 37 matches, 133 of them his contribution. His son Ashok Kumar was also a prominent Indian hockey player.

He was one of the most famous modern Hindi poets. He was born in Chirgaon,  Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh in a Gahoi family . His father's Name was Seth Ramcharan Gupta and his mother was Smt. Kashibai . He wasdesignated as the National Poet by the first government of the independent India.

Vrindavan  Lal Verma was born on 9 january to a navle kayastha family at Mouranipur .He was an eminent hindi novilist and playwright . He took his graduation from Victoriya collage Gwalior . After that he took a degree in law from Agra collage .  And started practising in Jhansi
